I distort characters to the very limit of their recognizability, and then reconstruct them. When liberated from their established forms,characters come to life,and a new world emerges.

By blurring the boundaries between "reading" and "viewing" characters, I create works that allow you to feel  words.

Born in Osaka.Resides in Kyoto.

While working as a company employee, I began learning Japanese calligraphy under calligrapher Bunen Sonoke in 2005.

​

May 2019 : Held the four-person calligraphy exhibition "Shibokusou" at Gallery Takasegawa Shiki Air in Kyoto.

​

2023 - Present : Due to my love of onsen(hot springs) , I started working as a "Onsen calligrapher"

 

October 2026 : Planned to hold the first  solo exhibition "Shin・Shoten" at Art Gallery Kitano in Sanjo Kawaramachi , Kyoto.
